Contributing Writer (2003 - now)
As Contributing Writer from Italy and the South of France my most important features include "foods of Sicily," "travel to Umbria and Le Marche," "wines and foods of Puglia," and a profile of Gianni Zonin. I did photography for all including the Sicily cover shot.

Wine Enthusiast has opened many venues: I am a wine judge at Vinitaly, Italy's biggest wine expo held annually in Verona, MiWine in Milan, and have appear on various wine-related TV specials.

The American is a monthly magazine based in Rome available in newsstands and distributed to subscribers of the International Herald Tribune.

Staff Writer (2000 - 2002)
I was staff reporter for Italy Daily, the predecessor of Italy Weekly. Both were a joint venture between the International Herald Tribune and Corriere delle Sera, Italy's biggest daily newspaper. The Milan-based supplement folded in 2003.

In addition to writing about domestic and international news, I edited a two-page travel and lifestyles magazine called Travel Weekly and contributed the "Chef's Corner" with recipes and regional foods and wines of Italy.








Special Correspondent (1996 - 1999)
As Special Correspondent based in Rome, I reported major business news from Italy (including privatizations and the birth of the Euro) and participated in the weekly European bureau chiefs' meeting. I won a Publisher's Award for best "Upfront."




Editorial Assistant (1994 - 1996)
This was my first journalism job after college (Boston University) that I did while studying for my Master's Degree at New York University. La Repubblica is Italy's second-largest daily newspaper and I worked in the New York Bureau as a news assistant, translator and researcher. I assisted my two bosses New York Bureau Chief Arturo Zampaglione and Columnist Furio Colombo.

Over the past four years, I have written a wide range of articles for this Rome-based travel and lifestyle glossy magazine (distributed on Alitalia flights and in USA bookstores). Some examples include: "The Wines of Campania," "The Wines of Piedmont," "Travel to Carnia and Friuli," and "Borsellino Hats." I also contributed to a special Italian Trade Commission-sponsored issue on products and foods&wines from Italy.
